Uit Duitsland verheft zich een bende. Blood Altar. Opgericht in 2023, gevoed door veteranen van Thorybos, Blood Vengeance en Shores of Ladon. Inverted Recrucifixion of Pious Martyrs ademt de geest van Blasphemy, Beherit, Archgoat, Black Witchery. Bestiale traditie uit de jaren negentig, herboren in 2025. Zelfuitgebracht op cd, gedragen door Caverna Abismal op cassette. Geen gekleurde vinylexcessen, geen holle hype. Pure underground‑overtuiging, gefinancierd door de band zelf als daad van verzet.
De productie is gecomprimeerd, dicht, verstikkend als Drawing Down the Moon. Gitaren sissen als gloeiend staal, vervormd in Archgoat‑traditie. Kettingzaagriffs die geen seconde rusten. De bas: vuil, sissend, dreunend door Nuclear Death Omen als roetzwarte fundamenten. Drums beuken meedogenloos. Vocalen gedeeld als een bloeddronken bende, growls vermengd met Duitse war commands, giftig, roepend naar het rijk van de Antichrist.
Iron Wings of Baphomet opent met een razende solo, vocalen die sijpelen als vergif. Nuclear Death Omen dreunt op de vuilste baspartijen. Bestial Defamation of Christ breekt de chaos kort met synth‑bas gegrom en omgekeerde klokgeluiden, voordat de mokerslag terugkeert. De grindende momenten ademen oude Archgoat, vertraagd geweld tussen Impiety‑chaos. Seven Sacraments Blasphemed ontheiligt, Blood Altar Redesecration scheurt in anderhalve minuut. Satan’s Command sluit met brullende devotie.
Elf bezweringen. Negenentwintig minuten ononderbroken geweld. Anti‑modern, anti‑religieus, nihilistisch tot in het merg. De band zelf proclameert: een gestage stroom van geweld, niet voor posers.
Blood Altar laat niets open voor interpretatie. Wat achterblijft, is een zwart residu dat zich vastzet in elke stilte, alsof de plaat weigert te doven zolang er nog één spoor van heiligheid ademt.

Inverted Recrucifixion of Pious Martyrs breathes the spirit of Blasphemy, Beherit, Archgoat, Black Witchery. Bestial tradition from the nineties, reborn in 2025. Self-released on CD, carried on cassette by Caverna Abismal. No coloured vinyl excess, no hollow hype. Pure underground conviction, financed by the band itself as an act of resistance.
The production is compressed, dense, suffocating like Drawing Down the Moon. Guitars hiss like glowing steel, warped in Archgoat tradition. Chainsaw riffs that never rest for a second. The bass: filthy, hissing, rumbling through “Nuclear Death Omen” as pitch-black foundations. Drums hammer relentlessly. Vocals shared like a blood-drunk gang, growls mixed with German war commands, venomous, calling toward the realm of the Antichrist.
“Iron Wings of Baphomet” opens with a raging solo, vocals seeping like poison. “Nuclear Death Omen” rumbles on the filthiest bass lines. “Bestial Defamation of Christ” briefly fractures the chaos with synth-bass growls and reversed bell sounds before the sledgehammer returns. The grinding moments breathe old Archgoat, slowed violence amid Impiety-like chaos. “Seven Sacraments Blasphemed” desecrates, “Blood Altar Redesecration” tears through in a minute and a half. “Satan’s Command” closes with roaring devotion.
Eleven incantations. Twenty-nine minutes of uninterrupted violence. Anti-modern, anti-religious, nihilistic to the core. The band itself proclaims it: a steady stream of violence, not for posers.
Blood Altar leaves nothing open to interpretation. What remains is a black residue that clings to every silence, as if the record refuses to extinguish as long as even a single trace of holiness still breathes.
