Er broeit iets in de Catalaanse ondergrond. Niet het gesimuleerde vuur van zij die de as aanbidden, maar een echte, koude vlam die weigert te doven. Zwarte Kunst besprak eerder al Nagyszeben en Blood Ecstasy, twee projecten die elk op hun manier het duistere karakter van de Iberische underground blootlegden. De Nagyszeben EP draait hier nog altijd zijn rituele rondjes, een monument van bezwerende black metal dat zijn gewicht niet verliest. Hatvast en Crucifier, beiden verbonden aan dat gezegende project, keren terug onder de naam Harvest of Grief met een debuutdemo die de lat nog hoger legt.
Medieval Prophecy Records, een label met een feilloos instinct voor producties die de geest van de Blazebirth Hall reanimeren zonder in zielloze imitatie te vervallen, biedt dit Catalaanse duo een thuis dat hen toekomt. Waar de meest obsessieve Oost-Europese black metal soms verzuipt in louter referentie, bewijst dit duo dat de Blazebirth Hall-erfenis nog leven in zich draagt.

The voice tears through the mist as testimony from a burning void. Vocals remain distant, nearly disembodied, perfectly aligned within the cold architecture of the production. The overwhelming wall of sound leaves no passage outward. The claustrophobic force of this demo encloses the listener completely and compels submission. Where the most obsessive Eastern European currents dissolve into mere reference, this duo carries the Blazebirth Hall current as a living force.
