“HA… NU HEB IK U LIGGEN GEHAD, HE!”
Zes bezweringen. Cerulean opende het graf opnieuw. Kludde slaat opnieuw toe.

A curse that has slumbered for a quarter of a century crawls once more through the lands of the Scheldt and Dender. Kludde, born from the ashes of Clauw, captured in a single weekend during November 2002 the demons that would leave their mark on the Aalst underground. Langs Scheld- en Denderland, six incantations, raw and uncompromising, originally pressed onto CDr and later preserved on tape by Nightmare Productions for those who knew where to look. Now, in 2026, the relic rises again. Consouling Sounds and Thenra Collectivum have rebuilt the black altar.
Cerulean has given these recordings greater depth and clarity without disturbing the spirit of the original demo. What emerged from the Aalst underground in 2002, raw and primitive, now sounds more powerful while retaining its atmosphere in full. Tering’s guitars still carve with that unmistakable second-wave harshness, tremolo lines scraping and shuddering like rusted iron dragged across stone. The bass now rumbles like an approaching storm over the Dender. The drum machine retains its mechanical coldness: lifeless, precise, possessed. Uglúk’s voice cuts through the mist. Archaic Flemish, raw and unpolished, curses in the mother tongue carrying more weight than any Scandinavian howl ever could.
De Schijnheilige Drievuldigheid opens as an indictment of religious hypocrisy. Latin liturgical formulas give way to mockery, contempt and blasphemy. Blast beats and buzzsaw guitars support Uglúk’s venomous condemnation of a blind god. Karos der Toverheksen stands among the absolute highlights of this reissue. The Aalst legend comes alive through haunting melodies, cold keyboards and demonic apparitions roaming the night. Twenty-five years later, the folkloric power of this composition remains entirely intact. Slet keeps things short and vicious. Folklore gives way to pure contempt, spat out in a language that requires no translation.
Egidius breaks the black bile with medieval sorrow. The thirteenth-century lament Waer bestu bleven, gheselle myn echoes like a prayer in an abandoned chapel, cold and desolate. Shelob drags the listener to Cirith Ungol, where Tolkienian darkness claims its place among the Flemish spectres inhabiting the rest of the record.
Then comes Kludde, the heart of this demo. The rattling chains, the water-side tormentor and the Kludhound throwing itself upon the back of its victim draw directly from the folk tales that gave the band its name. The tension slowly builds until the spirit finally releases its prey and dives back into the water laughing.
“HA… NOW I’VE HAD YOU, HAVEN’T I!”
Twenty-five years ago, Kludde captured the chronicles of the Scheldt and Dender region in a single weekend. Six incantations. Raw, local, drenched in Flemish soil and black bile. This reissue confirms what the underground already knew: this relic never lost its power. It merely waited in the shadows. Six incantations. Cerulean reopened the grave. Kludde strikes again.
