Turku ademt kou. De stad aan de Oostzee, gehuld in nevel en zout, vormt de bron waaruit Victimarum opstijgt. Uit dezelfde bodem waar Archgoat en Malum hun gedaanten vonden, ontwaakt nu een andere vlam — helder, snijdend, bezeten van melancholie. Seitsemän Soihdun Valossa – In het licht van zeven fakkels – verscheen via het onvolprezen Signal Rex uit Portugal en draagt de vorstelijke geest die Behexen, Horna en Sargeist tot bloed en geloof smeedde.

In Iäti vuoksesi (Voor eeuwig omwille van jou) bereikt het album zijn hoogste vervoering: de riffs gloeien als staal in winterlucht, de energie is meedogenloos. Välisoitto (Tussenspel) daalt neer in adem en stilte, waarna Ilmestysten Kuningas (Koning der Openbaringen) afsluit met felle tremoloriffs die nog nagloeien wanneer alles al verstild is.
De productie is scherp en helder, de toon glazig en koud. Victimarum ademt discipline, geloof en de melancholie van het Finse land. Elk nummer draagt dezelfde vorst in zich, dezelfde toewijding aan vorm en ritueel.

Seitsemän Soihdun Valossa – In the Light of Seven Torches – released through the revered Signal Rex of Portugal, radiates the frozen spirit that fuels Behexen, Horna, and Sargeist.
Alkusoitto opens as a breath of frost. Then Hovissa yön ruhtinaan erupts, driven by icy tremolo riffs that swirl around the drums like snow caught in storm. Taakka’s voice resounds like a wind-borne invocation — raw, priestly, and commanding. Beneath it all, the bass moves with restrained gravity, grounding the ceremony.
In Tulenkantaja (The Bearer of Fire), melodies flicker above the raging rhythm, like shadows circling an altar. The title track, In the Light of Seven Torches, envelops the listener in layered tremolo currents, their tones shifting like light refracted through ice. The sound is luminous yet frozen, steeped in conviction.
Kuolemalle (To Death) pulses with a fevered heartbeat. The guitars trace long, cold lines while the drums strike with relentless precision. Iäti vuoksesi (Forever for You) reaches a state of pure devotion — the riffs gleam like steel in winter air, the momentum unwavering. Välisoitto (Interlude) descends into mist and silence before Ilmestysten Kuningas (King of Revelations) ends the rite with fierce tremolo streams that continue to resonate long after the final chord fades.
The production is clear and cutting, the tone crystalline and cold. Victimarum radiates discipline, faith, and the melancholic rigor of the Finnish soil. Every track carries the same frost, the same ritual strength.
In the Light of Seven Torches stands as a testament to Finnish possession — nine hymns cloaked in snow and devotion, carried by tremolo riffs that rise like prayers from the frozen north.
